What’s been happening:

I graduated in 1982 and became employed by the NY State Parks on Staten Island, NY, in 1984. Changed parks in 1986-back to High Rock Park Conservation Center-I did a high school internship there in 1978. It was there I met my soul mate, Stephen Seymour, in 1987. In 1989 High Rock Park was given back to the NYC parks, so Steve & I married and I started working at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, OH. Stayed there until 1992, while Steve worked at Sea World of Ohio. I changed parks and went to the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes outside of Cleveland, OH. Eventually, Steve joined the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes until we both took jobs at Fontenelle Nature Association in Omaha, Nebraska in early 1999. In late 2000, I joined the city of Portland, Maine, as a recreation supervisor in charge of a large before and after school recreation program, while Steve went back to school to pursue his dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. In August 2001 I simultaneously lost my mother to a horrific disease and was, myself, diagnosed with cancer. I'm now a cancer survivor and still living and loving life, with Steve, in southern Maine. Along the way I've picked up some artistic hobbies such as photography and snow carving and still perform magic as a hobby. I'm proud to say I've kept my employment, all these years, in the field of recreation and parks. Thank you, Penn State!
